Ethan Miller joined the Nathan Cummings Foundation in 2015 with 25 years of experience in financial services, primarily in middle market lending. For 11 years, Ethan was at GE Antares Capital, the sponsor finance group at GE Capital, where he was a Managing Director and responsible for managing relationships with private equity firms, leading transaction teams and managing all facets of the transaction process. He worked extensively on a wide range of investment products and has closed more than 100 transactions in his career. Before GE, he was a Managing Director at IBJ Whitehall Financial Group, a subsidiary of the Industrial Bank of Japan and a Vice President at BHF-Bank in New York City. Prior to BHF-Bank, Ethan was in Chicago for nine years where he worked at Heller Financial and the First National Bank of Chicago. Ethan has a Masters in Management with a concentration in finance, accounting and management policy from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a BA in economics from Hobart College. While at GE, Ethan also passed his Series 7 and 63 securities examinations. Over the years, Ethan has also been involved in a variety of nonprofit organizations including the Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA) and the I Have a Dream Foundation in Chicago.
