NCF grantee AXS Map featured in Time Magazine

Filmmaker Jason DaSilva's multiple sclerosis diagnosis led him to new insight about the social justice issues of those with physical challenges.  His personal journey is chronicled in the newly-released documentary, "When I Walk;" however, Jason realized there was an important opportunity to extend the impact of the film beyond the screen.  With NCF support, Jason worked with his wife, Alice Cook, and a small group of others, to develop AXS Map, a mobile app and website that aggregates user-generated ratings for the accessibility of businesses around the country.  AXS Map enables communities to map accessibility and to accommodate people with disabilities using the power of consumer and commercial influence to facilitate social change.
